The Bobby O Band

The Bobby O Band handles everything from live performances and original music to professional audio production. Led by Robert Michael Ormsby, we balance high-energy shows for private events with serious recording projects. With a history that stretches from the 1960s nightclub scene to modern Hollywood studios, we pride ourselves on technical mastery and being the professionals you can count on.

Founder, Vocalist, and Guitarist

Robert Michael Ormsby (Bobby O)

Bobby started playing professionally at 15 as the house guitarist for the Jack O’ Diamonds in Palmdale, performing alongside legends of the era. A Cal Arts graduate with a career spanning the first wave of LA Punk with 'Los Dudes' and session work for D-Town Records, he has shared the stage with Canned Heat, Iron Butterfly, and members of Captain Beefheart’s Magic Band.

Skeletons Among The Mangos

Skeletons Among the Mangos is where we focus on original blues-rock with a distinctive modern-retro sound. Featuring a world-class lineup including bassist Jesse Vasquez and drummer Joshua Eagan, this project is our main outlet for creative songwriting and concert-style performances.

The Bobby O Band is our premier cover band, playing everything from Rock and Country to R&B, Funk, Soul, and Latin Jazz. We’re known for high-energy sets and a professional stage presence that works for weddings, corporate events, and private parties. With multiple lead vocalists, we keep the music dynamic and the energy moving.
